Grilled Portobello Mushrooms Supreme (Print Recipe) (E-mail Recipe)
Mushrooms are rich in flavor when cooked. Use this recipe for appetizers or place it on a bun with a touch of barbecue sauce for a gourmet burger.
Seves 4-6
Ingredients:
4 large Portobello mushrooms, wiped clean, stem cut flat 4 oz blue cheese crumbles 2 oz sun dried tomatoes, chopped Olive & Well Spanish Picual EVOO for drizzling Ground pepper to taste
Preheat grill or grill pan to medium, drizzling the pan with the olive oil. Place the mushrooms gills up on the pan and cover to cook until fork-tender, turning only once. Once mushrooms are tender, with the gills up, drizzle a small amount of olive oil on the mushrooms, top with the blue cheese and sun dried tomatoes. Sprinkle lightly with fresh ground pepper and cook until cheese is melted. Serve in wedges or on a hearty bun.
